A dermatologist will solve these problems? [dermatologist] [stepson]

My 13-year-old stepson has mild acne on his forehead, a few elsewhere (very small). Will that took him to the dermatologist to solve his problem?

Reply:a dermatologist specializes in that kind of stuff, so if you feel his condition warrants seeing one, then do so…
if he hasn't already tell him to add a facial cleanser that has benzoyl peroxide in it….
but a dermatologist isn't gonna hurt… definitely could be a solution to the problem, if not a complete solution, then definitely will control the situation… especially since its mild…
take care, hope it works out

Reply:Taking him to the derm might solve his problem but it will certainly help his problem. I think it is great that you are watching out for him-his acne may get worse so you definitely don't want to wait until it is really bad. And, if you should wait too long to do something, it could turn into scars. Again, I am using 'might' and 'could' because no one knows for sure but there is nothing wrong with being proactive with his acne. Think of it as the same as going to the dentist twice a year-it is preventative medicine. YOu may never get a cavity but you certainly have the dentist check your teeth out.
