Have any of you use Alpha Hydrox Oil-free formula to help with red spots? I ordered a couple and it should come today. Is it effective without you? My wedding reception is at 5 weeks and I want some of these places have disappeared! (In the day time I use Neutrogena Healthy Skin Lotion, which has worked well, but I want something stronger in the night.) I tried Paula; choice of AHA and I felt like me fatter making and me- eaters! So I hope that this works without breaking me out. You can also click the AHA acne medication at night?
Reply:When I used Obagi, the AHA cream accelerated cell turnover (thus palliating my red marks, ultimately), but it both stimulated oil production and increased overall redness. Considering the propinquity of your wedding date, the AHA treatment seems inadvisable. Estee Lauder's Idealist lotion kept my skin smooth and toned down the redness, but it was expensive, and I donb't even know if they make it anymore.
Reply:In my experience, this product is excellent for getting rid of red marks. However, it is similar to the PC AHA (though not the exact same ingredients), so if you didn't like that one then you might not like this one.
I believe acne medications are supposed to be applied after the AHA.
