my 15 yr old has broken and bad weather! I was wondering other than him to take another round of antibiotics that he doesnt want to again do what over the counter or home remedies can try to help clean up a bit? hubby wants me to him, oxy pads, and Ive told him more than a makeup remover and a skin that is dried by the alcohol i dont think its going to help him. Any help would be great!

Also do a search on diet, inflammatory foods, zinc, saw palmetto, nettle leaf, green tea, B5 and other supplements. I think most of the people having success with these are adults, but not all. I distinctly recall a woman posting that nettle leaf cured her teen son.
Reply:I was told that leaning you head on your hands will cause acne. And we all know in school we normally got bored and held are hand on our heads/face
Reply:thanks for the help i will tell him to try that,being an active teen its hard for him to do any real outside treatment thats why i was hoping something could at least "tame" his acne.
Reply:When I was a teen, my doctor told me to do the following: Wash my hands with soap and water. Once my hands were clean, then i wash my face with WATER ONLY. I would do this almost 10 times a day. Always washing my hands first. I guess washing the face with soap would remove too much oil and expose the skin to infection.
I also know that an overworked liver can cause skin breakouts. So reducing fat, toxins, and pollutants would help. Finally, I use an "infrared sauna" now, and it does wonders for my mine and my wifes complexion.
