I saw that thread about mushing up asprin tablets and making a mask for your face.

Im desperate for something to work for me: (, ive got the worst outbreak and have just sunk into a depression after being clearly visible Neutrogena Mask and see how much better would I be if I had clear skin: (. Has anyone else tried? turn white all over your face and see how you would look with no blemishes or imperfections (depressing.

So are doing anyone recommend the asprin mask idea? i dont want to do and find out theres bad points.

Reply:i use the 325 mg tablets. they are white & uncoated. what i do is wash & dry my face. then pat a little bit of water on…i find it makes the aspirin stick better. then i take 4 tablets, put them in the palm of my hand & splash a few drops of water on them. they start to fall apart instantly. then i just mush them around in my palm until they all break apart & add a little more water…to make it just a bit liquidy…not too much though. its going to be quite gritty…dont expect a smooth mask like consistancy. then i just scoop some up with the top of my nail, slap it on my face & gently rub it on in a circular motion. let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. try not to move around too much though because it does tend to flake off quite a bit. when the time is up i wet my hands & gently scrub it around for like 15 seconds or so & then rinse it off. i put a tiny bit of moisturizer on afterwards & go to bed. then in the morning my big zits are not as big or red & i'd guess that about 3/4 or more of the small bumps i get on my forehead are gone! i've only been doing this for a couple of weeks so i dont know if it gets better in time or not. i did overdo it the 1st week…i was doing it every night & scrubbing way too hard, so my face got a bit dry & red. so now i just do it like once or twice a week and i will continue to do so. i'm really pleased with the quick results.

Reply:Hi ive just gone and bought myself some 'dispersible Aspirin tablets' 75mg. What do i do with them now? The only worrying thing is that at the back it says aspirin tablets can lead to Reye's Syndrome :S! Oh well.

Does anyone have instructions what i can do now to create the mask with these tablets?

Reply:i'd say give it a try. i use it about 2 times a week now. i was using it daily at first but i think that was just too much for my skin…i got kinda red & dry. i find that 4 aspirin is the perfect amount for me. i wash & dry my face, then pat just a tiny amount of water on before applying. i place the aspirin in my palm & add water drop by drop till its a just a little liquidy…easier to apply. i leave it on my face for 15-20 minutes. be sure not to scrub too hard when you're washing it off…it will irritate your skin. i do it before bed…dont really notice anything right away but when i wake up the next morning i'm amazed at the results! i was very nervous about trying it because i have super sensitive skin but i'm so glad i did. its not a miracle cure but its the quickest fix i've ever tried. good luck to you!

Reply:I used it when I saw some zits beginning to pop up and it did shrink them very fast. I dunno if it will work for severe breakout though.
