Clinique's Acne Solutions [glycolic peel] [acne solutions]

Hi. I have not been there a while, because my acne cleared up. In the past I used antibiotics which cleared up my skin broke out bad at first. Then I tried acupuncture and that made me worse. I tried difference gel and it made my skin dry and Crépey. I tried u0026 derm peel microdermabrasion, glycolic acid peel and retinol syrum cleared and that wonderful, but after a while stopped working. So I went to my derm to go back on antibiotics because I was desperate. She told me to try Clinique acne solutions. So I bought the foam wash that removes all traces of dirt and SPF cream, antibacterial soap, toner, acne treatment at night, dramatically different moisturizer, acne days barrier your skin is protected from dirt during the day, and SPF cream (sorry can not remember the exact product name) I know a lot of products but the prices of Clinique one pretty well. The whole thing costs about $ 115.00. This is less than the cost of the antibiotics that I need to buy every month. All these products will take about 4-5 months except the cream, because I use a lot of. Well, as a result is acne solutions! I have acne free for almost 6 months! My skin texture is smooth and past acne marks have disappeared and my skin is tighter, therefore, no redness! I know everyone has different skin and can not work, but I wanted to share my experiences. I have a sensitive skin and I tried every skin product at the drugstore or = m and my skin even worse. I like Clinique because it is fragrance free and clinically. Im so happy to finally have acne Fri I hope this helps someone out there looking for solutions.

Reply:I'm currently doing Doxycyc, clenia wash, boswellia(160mg boswellic acids), and blue/ red light(verilux). Things are finally working so hopefully within a month my face will be clear– I have not been this clear in a year.

Reply:I tried the clinique– I have VERY oily skin with moderate inflammatory acne- it didn't work, but they do give you a full refund– which is very nice.

sorry it didn't work for you. I'm actually surprised it worked for me because nothing else did. I was starting to feel that it was hopeless to get rid of my acne. good thing I didn't give up.

BTW, what does work for you?

Reply:ORVILLE,

I tried the Loreal products and it was the worse decision I ever made! I started to get cysts! Be careful of Loreal products. If it doesn't work now, it probably won't work later. And…cetaphil can work for some but it doesn't get rid of all the dirt and grime off your face.

If you do decide to use Clinique, SAVE the boxes and receipts. they will refund as another poster mentioned.

Reply:I use the foam wash in the evening but only if I wore spf in the day which i sometimes don't. I don't wear make-up but if you do it gets all the make-up residue off because the antibacterial soap does not breakdown make-up or SPF that well. then I use the antibacterial soap, then the toner, then acne night treatment, then moisturizer which for some is not nessesary but I get too dry with the toner and acne night treatment. In the morning I use the antibacterial soap, then acne day shield, then spf cream , and finally moisturizer. whew! I know it sounds like a lot to put on your face but for me it's worth it.

here are the actual names of the products in the order I use them:

day time
antibacterial soap
daytime shield
super city block spf 25 (oil free daily protector)
dramatically different moisturizing gel

Night time
cleansing foam (salicylic acid acne medication)
antibacterial facial soap (for acne prone skin)
Clarifying lotion 3
night treatment gel (salicylic acid acne medication)
dramatically different moisturizing gel

all of these are from the acne solutions line.

all together they cost about $115 but they really last a long time because the key to these products is using a thin layer swept over face. the only product I have to buy more often is the moisturizer. I buy it about every 2-3 months. And you don't have to buy it all at once after the initiall purchase , just as you run out.

Good luck :)

Reply:Hi, can you please tell us the steps that you do. I see that you purchased the foam wash as well as the antibacterial soap. Do you use both of these? Or just switch out? DO you use the acne night treatment by itself or in combo with the dramatically different moisturizer? Do you use the acne day barrier by itself or in combo with the spf cream? I would really appreciate your response as I'm debating if I should go with Clinque. I use Cethaphill moisturizer which seam to leave my skin oily & shinney! I use Loreal fas wash, but my skin is not clearing up. It sounds like I may need to just go to Clinque & buy some of this. Please let us know your steps.

Thanks!!!!!!!! :)

Reply:Hi guy,

I had blackheads and white heads and the occasional cyst (usually because of a product) mainly, I had little red bumps all over my face which was most noticable in sunlight and bathroom lights. Also, had very blotchy skin and little red dots that looked like a rash. my overall skin texture was rough.Befor I started using Clinique, my skin was at it's most worse! I had two cysts under the skin and the rash made me look like I had lupus. After about a week using Clinique , my cyts never surfaced and my small bumps were calming down and the rash disappeared. Two weeks later, all my bumps were gone and no new ones appeared. one month later and my skin was smooth textured and even toned and my pores looked tighter. My complextion was clear and has been ever since. My only complaint about acne solutions is the toner. My skin looks kind of wrinked, or pulled. I was a little worried my skin was always going to look that way but then I use the moisturizer and it disappears.

I hope this works for you. Good luck. :)

forgot to mention that I had very dry skin on the surface. My derm told me that i was oily underneath tho.

Just want to add that in the past I was sensitive to SA. But for some reason it doesn't bother me with Clinique.

Reply:could you describe the type of skin (oily, normal, combo, dry) and acne you had (mild, moderate, severe, cysts, inflamed pimples, whiteheads, blackheads etc) before trying clinique?

thank you for coming back and telling us what worked for you. You're the type of person that makes these boards great!
Congratulations on finally winning the battle, pray for the rest of us!
