Diane 35 for all users! [diane 35] [accutane]

Hi everyone . ive had a kind of acne since I was 11 . im 22 now . ive of everything . I went on Diane 35, but still have cysts and eventually stopped getting them after 6 months . . then my doc took me off a bit . Diane later I switched to ortho tri . my skin acted again . then switched to Yasmin, my skin acted up again big time . Then I went back to Diane and Accutane than two months after that . my skin is nice and clear . finally . .
but im so scared and very worried about when I decided to come off Diane . Ive not heard anything but horrible stories about ppl coming off Diane and how skin crazy . worse than originally . i dont want to be on BC, but im scared to come off . Ive dealt with this long enough and I do not know if I can do it again . what happens if I decide to try for a baby .
anyways . my question is . someone has a positive experience coming off Diane .? or at least not as a bad experience . or im i doomed to go through this again devil that we call acne scars, that our lives . All comments please .

Reply:Skimom, what I stated was specified for ones consuming diuretics because body will go into remission and retain more water once one goes off it. As your daughter, one might find it quite difficult in reintroducing the same drugs in hope of a response.

Reply:That is a risk we all have to take. Some women are fine and some are not. If your acne is hormonally charged, more than likely you will start to break out again. Although my daughter took accutane, it did not help her acne. What helped was Yaz and Spiro. She broke out big time after stopping them a few months back and has been trying to get her clear skin back ever since. If you are doing well now, I would not mess with it. I would get very specific advice from your doctor about going off Diane at this time.

Reply:You will be spending lots more emotional pain/time/money in fixing the problem that is subsided by Diane if you do choose to terminate its use.

Reply:I'm browsing the acne forum since I'm not a regular here and came up with your post.
I withdrew from Diane with no problems at all, of course I took it for 11 years and was 32 when I stopped, no acne anymore so I guess it depends on each individual but I would say why don't you consult it with the physician that prescribed it in the first place and see what he-she has to say about it?
good luck for you!

Reply:guy, what Desogen were you on? Were you on the generic Apri? I'm trying to get on Desogen, but I don't know which one!

Reply:anyone else??
pleaseeeeeeeeee and thank u

Reply:I also had a difficult time trying to get off of Diane 35…every time I tried to quit, I would start breaking out again within a month or two. I finally tried Desogen and 5 months later I am still clear. I wish I could discontinue all bcp's, but that doesn't seem like an option for me. The type of acne I had was mild, so if your acne is severe you may not have the same results. I was also on Demulin and Ortho Tri-cyclen prior to Diane 35, but neither one helped. Anyway, I hope this helps…good luck.

accutane
