Does anyone have good results using St. Ives Apricot Scrub for body acne? [st ives apricot scrub] [clyndamicin]

I have some very thick chest acne. It is not cystic, nor do I have whiteheads or blackheads, are really just tons of little red pimples with a larger number. They are not large enough to be cysts, nor have they ever called “heads” on them. Theyre just red dots that look like a worse version of my face acne.

I tried anti-bacterial soaps, Head Shoulders u0026, and Retin-A Micro 0.1%, minocycline, and Clyndamicin on. The only thing that actually worked Minocycline was – that really cleared it up, but then my derm took me off of it.

So, I heard a ton of good things about St Ives Apricot Scrub. Im really excited to use it, I pray it will work as I swim in a few weeks before the gym.

Has everyone had good results from it? Do you agree or twice a day? Do you have a washrag or just your hands?

Thanks for any responses.

Reply:I just recently purchased St. Ives Exfoliating body scrub and it seems to work well. If you can deal with the scent (Peach or Apricot) it's not too bad.

Reply:No, you have to have the other one. Can you return the one you bought for the right one?? Yes, you can use it every night but don't use anything else to exfoliate.

Reply:Crap, I bought the gentle skin version and it has no salystic (sp?) acid in it. Will I still get similar effects with it?

Also, is it safe to use every night–even if the one I have is just an exfoliator?

Reply:I also use St. Ives Apricot Scrub for oily/acne prone skin twice a day, and it really helps out my face. I had moderate cystic acne before I used it, and after using the St. Ives for almost 4 months now my face is almost fully clear. I don't have any body acne so I have no idea how it would work anywhere else, but it helps out a lot with my face.

Reply:St. Ives has an apricot scrub specifically for acne prone skin. I use it once in the morning and once at night. It has helped me a lot but I also use clearasil on problem areas. The scrub it really good for acne that has dried up but still is flaky. Give it a try and let me know how it works. Good Luck…I'm sure you will be just fine in your swimsuit. Oh….I use just my hands to apply it. I think a washrag may be too harsh.

The chest break out happens to me all the time, especially in the summertime. I use ProActiv on my face and THAT didn’t clear up what was on my chest. Come to find out, I break out on my chest when I’m poorly hydrated! Drink a ton of water in a few days I noticed a huge clear up. Good luck!
