I started to tan . and my acne is gone! [moderate acne] [tanning salon]

I have a mild to moderate acne on my back . and are finally gone . I started tanning in a solarium. I must admit, are best for acne, at least for me!

Just wanted to share my personal experience!

Reply:just like guy said, be careful not to over due it because it can make your acne worse. Trust me… I use to stay out in the sun a lot when I was in HS and my skin was clear. but my acne got worse when I stopped tanning. But i finally got it under control again. FYI-There is light therapy to help acne sufferers— but it does not have UV light. therefore, you don't have to worry about the bad effects of the sun and tanning beds.

Reply:This is true. I have had the same experience with tanning- every time. I don't do it all the time, mainly because over time it can impair your skin's natural exfoliation ability, but when I get a bad breakout it clears it up almost immediately. I've heard of UV light therapy being used by dermatologists on people with acne, rosacea, or eczema, but I don't know if it's actually true. All I know is that tanning really does work! But don't over-do it. It can still cause skin cancer, remember.

interesting point about the uv lights in the tanning beds. when you go under … do you use anything for your face? i know that they have tanning sprays but wouldnt that clog up your pores? also, would the sun have the same effect as the tanning salons?

really? are you completely clear?

Reply:Just make sure you don?t over tan, because it is true that tanning can help your skin by drying up your oil glands, but if you over do it, it can cause more acne than you had in the first place. Glad to hear it worked out for you though.
