Isotrex suppress sebaceous glands? [sebaceous glands] [acne problem]

According to the leaflet, this gel will suppress the activity of the sebaceous glands leading to a reduction of the acne problem. Does it mean that if you continue to use it for some time, the area will not show spots in the future?

Reply:OK, so it's what I thought. It's just another topical anti-androgen. Instead of it being Tretinion like Retin-A, it's another form of Vitamin A known as Isotretinion. Since it's new, hopefully it will work better, but it's likely not permanent (they would be yelling it from the roof tops). =)

Reply:Don't you wish? LOL, I haven't researched this one yet, but it means one of two things. It permanently kills those glands or it temporarily does so (while on treatment). My guess is that it's a temporary thing.
