made an appointment derm [tetracycline] [appointment]
Well, Ive had it with my face and I do not understand why Im breaking out and why there is nothing better, so I am due to doctors . lol
I think Im going to ask to be put on tetracycline again because it helped me when I first took a while ago.
Who Tetracycline has taken what were the results, how long did it take to work and you first worse before you really better?
Thanks
Reply:guy- Yes I really love the Klaron it is not a harsh topical and if I have any redness to my face it really calms it down. I can't really tell you which one helps the most because I started them all at the same time! But I do think it is mainly the Yasmin. And yes there was an intial breakout with alot of whiteheads coming to the surface but after the 2nd week of the 2nd month I started noticing that I wasn't getting any more pimples.
guy- I have been using the topicals for about 5 months but I use them religously and never miss.
Reply:Babygirl and guy – my daughter has been prescribed Klaron and differin too. I think you have to give topicals a good 3 months to determine if they are working. This is what I've been told. My son uses Klaron and bp and really likes that combo. He's been using it for a long time.
Reply:I use Klaron and Differin. I take 100mg of Doxy once daily and I am on Yasmin. I am 95% clear and it's great. What you are describing is the mistake alot of people make when seeing a derm. (trust me I did it too). You go and they give you all these topicals and whatever else they recommend and then you leave and think "I can cure this better on my own, I don't need all this crap" and then you don't follow what the derm. told you to or you just do it sometimes not religously. Then your acne never clears up! I did this for awhile and finally I found a really good derm. and did exactly what he said (trust me I am impatient too but I was sick of acne) and now I am so happy I did! I think this time really listen to your derm. and ask questions if you need to after all your paying him! I think if you follow what he says you will be on your way to clearer skin.
Hey babygirl, I know what you are saying and i will listen to my derm. this time because i too am sick of acne. Do you think Klaron is a vital part in you regimen? Do you think you really need it and do you think it really has a good effect on keeping your skin clear? I ask this because you are using other things which could really contribute to clear skin ( Yasmin, Doxy, Differin). Also when you started Yasmin did you have an initial breakout?
Thanks ![]()

Reply:well, I had some left over Klaron that I had never used (my last derm gave this to me) and I used it during the day and at night..I must say that my face looks clearer than it did yesterday
I bet if I use Klaron everyday my face will be quite clear and by the time my derm. appointment comes I wont even need anything (thats how it always happens…go figure). I wish I used Klaron when my derm first gave it to me (but I'm very impatient, If i dont see results in like 2 days, i give up..which is not a good thing).
If my face is clear by the time I have to go to my derm. appointment, i'm still going to ask for stuff for my skin. I heard there are pills that help with oily skin (i will probably ask for those).
Anyone use Klaron and does anyone know about those oil-control pills??
