Reply:i feel you on all that. I learned about exactly how antibiotics become resistant and how their offspring will be resistant making the stuff ineffective. It was a bummer and made me lose hope of antibiotics. A plus though is that vitamins such as nicomide can help with acne maybe not as much as the tetracycline family but your body wont produce its own antibodies to it, because it is a vitamin. Also it can be taken longer amounts of time with no side effects.
I hope that helps you some in your decision. But good luck either way!!
Reply:Another con to antibiotics is that they are bad for your gut. There's something about them that is bad for your stomach if they are taken over a long period of time. I'm not exactly sure what, but it's definetly worth looking into.
Reply:You actually have a third choice, friend. Refer to the thread "Acne is caused by Diet".
Diet Pros
Clears acne completely forever
no side effects that aren't healthy ones
Diet Cons
somewhat inconvenient at first
requires sacrifice
