Non-cystic acne? – What should I do? [cystic acne] [accutane]
Jul 12, 2010
Ok, after reading all your descriptions Im thinking i dont have cystic acne, but acne normal i guess? I mean, Ive always spots – at least 6-10 blemishes, but I do not think they cysts (Im 25 so the way puberty is not just a thing!) Anyway, these posts to read and what ive seems that the online Accutane only for severe cystic acne? well what about regular acne? accutane is a translation that would help me? Doxy is. For cystic acne or acne regularly? I guess im looking for the strongest possible treatment for a persistent, cash, regular breakouts of cystic non-type .
thanks!
Reply:…best way to describe it is it kidna looks like chicken pox (its not chicken pox) or a bad rash of red bumps, just a lot of red marks – not even really elevated from my face…and when they come, they stay! these arent zits that heal in a few days or a week…and then more come…so before long theres a whole collection on my face! i hate this! any ideas what this is?? i really dont think its cystic because i think i know what cystic acne is now..

What does your acne look like? Cystic acne is usually under the skin type bumps..they can get pretty big, but Ive had tiny cysts as well. My acne doesnt seem to be "regular" even when its small ones. Also, Cysts dont come to a head.. and if they do.. it wont be for a few weeks. They definately hurt, and feel "under pressure".
Regular acne can be controlled by a dermatologist. At this point, I wouldnt even mind if I had regular acne. Cystic acne sucks hardcore.
Theres tons of medications that can help you- Its just a matter of finding which one. I wouldnt take accutane until youve exhausted all other options because you dont have what its typically prescribed for. Thatd be like saying.. I have a birthmark..not cancer, give me radiation therapy. Why do something like that to yourself when you can find something less horrendous to clear you up? (by the way, Im not trying to sound really mean by saying that- Im just trying to give an example of how strong accutane is.)
Go to a derm, though. They can help out tremendously. Good luck!
Reply:Sounds like you need to see a dermatologist if you haven't already. They can give you the strongest prescription products for your specific type of acne.
