Has anyone used this for over a month? How is this product? Ive heard some very good reviews and there are a number of poor. I can not decide if I should try. I do not know how long these people had to use the serum.
Do you recommend this product for my oily / acne prone skin?
Best Answer: OK, first….Oil of Olay (all forms) has not been shown (listed in the chemical literature) to have any side effects. And since you have been using it for the last month I would rule that out as the cause for your dry and chapped skin.
Usually when you start using a new product such as Saw Palmetto and soon after you develop a condition you did not have previously…that product seems to be the logical one to review. I looked through some of the information on that herbal supplement and the only side effect noted that is even close to your dry skin was development of a RASH with Saw Palmetto.
Personally I doubt your condition is related to either product alone but I wouldn't rule out the possibility, however remote, that the combination of using both products might be the reason for your dry chapped skin. Long shoot I know…but why not call your local pharmacy and ask the pharmacist if either or both products are the cause? Until then, if you want to mix Ponds & Olay, that's your call. But if Olay is the cause, and you continue to use it even in a smaller amount, your skin condition will not change. If anything….just go back to using Pond's and if the dry skin goes away within the next 10-14 days…..there's your answer; it was the Oil of Olay.

Reply:alpha hydrox 10% oil free gel help faded my scars. only problem is that it broke me out EVERYDAY for over a month YUCK! i used it lastnight for the first time in a couple months, but this time i put it on for 10 min then washed it off, not sure if this is helping my skin, but i'm using it up so it doesnt go to waste

But, Neko, you are saying it has filled in the scars? I am using th fragrance free, sensitive skin Olay regenerist serum too. My scars aren't filling in.
I can only pray for that!!
I am considering silicone injections at this point for my scars.
I am soooo sick of it!
Reply:i've been using it for nearly two months now… it helped with mousterizing but it hasn't helped eliminate my blemishes and scars.
Reply:I've been using this…not on my entire face, but only in the spots that need "regenerating."
Namely, red spots (makes them disappear SUPER fast!! :eek , and on one slightly indented scar I have. It has filled the scar out beautifully in a matter of a couple of months – you can hardly see it anymore.
Make sure you get the FRAGRANCE FREE version!! The one with fragrance has a much higher chance of breaking you out!
I also make sure I only spread it in a very thin layer, rather than gooping onto my face. I think this also decreases the risk of breakout.
With oily skin, you might want to use this only at night. I do only at night, and I've still seen fantastic results.
