I wrote in my face is red and everything, literally as if he was burned. Now everyone was saying that the combination of washing with Proactiv differin could do, is
problem. I only use differn on my cheeks over a very small area, cause i dont breakout anywhere else, this was really my problem area. But still my face almost the whole thing is red! I do not understand why? I stopped and turned to Proactiv today wash foam cleanser that goal. But i cannot understand? It seems when I left the shower or put water on my face, im doomed. the red is so damn fast. the lower part of my cheek, I can actually see the color difference between my neck and face is so bad.
Reply:What's really helped everything about my face including the acne, dry patches, and redness is Dove bar soap (unscented, sensitive skin formula). I too am using differin and have been for a year and a half. Until about a month ago, i had been using harsh cleansers but finally realized it was doing much more harm than good. You wouldn't believe how much better my skin has gotten since i started using dove. Oh and you must remember to always wear sunscreen (preferably made for sensitive skin). Good luck
Reply:I'* just quit using both, and use an oil-free moisturizer. Something is irritating your skin, so stop using all of that stuff, and see if you skin improves. Most prescription acne drugs (if not all) are just too strong for me. I have to stick to herbal and otc meds.
yeah thanks for the replies, i didnt know it can irritate my skin if applied in one spot. yeah im going to stop using it for the most part, maybe just a small amount. im so scared cause before i started using differin my face was horrible and i cant go back to that
anyone know if i have to use it forever or what? like once the prescriptiion runs out what to do, cause acne never can be cured

Reply:Even though you only put the Differin on the upper part of your cheeks, it can still irritate the rest of your facial skin!
Reply:Was your face red before using the proactiv and differin? You might be allergic to the washes. It would take around a week or two for the redness to go away.
