Side effects of Nicomide [nicomide] [acne]

My derm prescribed Nicomide for me and so far helped with my acne. Does anyone know if Nicomide has no serious side effects? And how long I can last? Thanks

Reply:Is this a prescription drug? Is it supposed to help with acne? I have never heard of this before.

It's a prescription strengh multivitamin with frolic acid, nicotinamide, and zinc. I was skeptical at first but after a month of taking it I do feel that it's making me less oily and reduced breakout. I'm not 100% clear though.

Thanks guy that's very helpful info. I haven't experienced any of the side effects listed, but I wonder if it's safe to take long term.

I found this on a website:

Nicomide

Active Ingredients: Folic Acid, Nicotinamide and Zinc
Representative Names: Nicomide

What side effects should I watch for?

Common side effects of folic acid/nicotinamide/zinc are nausea or vomiting.

If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:

Persistent or worsening nausea or vomiting
Stomach pain, yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine, fatigue or fever
Rash, itching, swelling, dizziness or trouble breathing
