That doctor i swear he screwed my face with that medicine i started usign it and i started having pimples on my cheeks and i couldnt get rid of them and they left dark spots the first tiem EVER i had dark spots was on my left cheek it stayed there forever adn as soon as it was cleared up another one poped up in the spot then a few more then i broke out on my other cheek.

I could cry just thinkin about this.
I should have never used that junk and went striaght ot my derm and i shouldht have took the accutane back in july not in nov it would have saved me some scars and dents.

I am not sure if sugar can make you break out. I think certain things might affect different people differently. Yeah if you are twenty three you should have grown out of it already. Go to a dermatologist and talk to them about accutane. It is tough at first to get used to the dry skin, but after your treatment when you see results it is totally worth it. Hope you can get a chance to talk to your doc.

I used to have bad acne too. I tried every face wash in the world washing 3 or 4 times a day and it never really worked. I then went to the doctor and tried a medicine called accutane. It worked wonders. It makes your skin very dry at first because this is how it gets rid of the pimples. But you can just buy a good face cream. After about 4 months it had pretty much all cleared up except for the odd pimple here and there. My sister had bad skin too and believe it or not the doctor prescribed birth control pills. These also worked very well for here too. Sometimes you also just have to be patient and wait until you get older and grow out of it. But go and ask your doctor about these. good luck!

When you all have done, what I do washing and drying my face, then you treat apply to your face. You will notice that the water, but stay on your face. Once you put it all on your face you leave it on for about 3-5 minutes. Then, you scubs light your face. The crushed asprin makes an awesome, yet gentle scrub, expecially with the ACV. Then just wash it off with cool / hot water. That is, your face smooth, radiant and hopefully soon youll find, like me, that your acne will clear and less frequently return. I'm not sure all that works for everyone though…since becoming vegetarian (about 2 years a go) i've been a lot more healthy, and that is a nice feeling but i wouldn't say it helped my acne. I also recently gave up smoking and again, that feels awesome too, but i wouldn't say that helped my acne either…

As for me, I have mild/moderate stubborn adult acne, started age 29, and have tried everything over the counter, plus a couple of creams from the dermatologist which were way too harsh. I'm now on Yasmin (contraceptive pill) and trying proactive.

But in general, a mild benzoyl peroxide (2.5%) applied to the acne prone area is a good start, after washing with a mild salicylic acid wash and gently patting dry. Use a good oil-free moisturiser after the BP has dried (with SPF for during the day). You could try the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions kit – contains all the above. It might well work for you if you only have mild acne, and its cheaper than proactive. Also of course a healthy diet, try and cut back on sugars, lots of water, sleep, exercise and a multivitamin with no more than the RDA of iodine. But be gentle with your skin to start with – over washing it and using too many products can make acne worse. Use the BP sparingly until your skin is used to it.
