Back acne or acne scar? [acne scars] [acne scar]

Hi everyone! Im head back acne for over 2 years now. My problem is that I do not know if the spots are in my back acne or acne scars from the past. I have many red spots on my back, and I have no idea what these are. I tried to shower with body wash exfoliationg, hoping only thing to get rid of the scars, but its not really helping. How different acne scars from acne? And what are some good products for back acne / acne scars back?

Reply:Yea you should first make sure that it?s just a red mark from old acne. The best way you can get rid of them is to get chemicals peels.

Reply:I'll bet that this is another case of keratosis Pilaris. Go see your derm and ask him for a diagnosis. Otherwise, if you treat Keratosis Pilaris like acne, you are going down a dangerous path.

Hello, recently I suffered from mild cases of acne, I have the stupid, and took one of them, on my left side of my face near my eye. It is indented and has dark pigmentation probably melanin, I have fairly dark skin, I am an Indian. I would like to help fade or remove it, it looks totally messed up, and people ask me all the time, I feel like an idiot. What are the treatment options, I prefer no surgery or laser, as it probably costs a lot. Is there a room option, or home micro debra sion kit. I have chicken pox scars on my sleep and want to be removed also. So, what is my best bet?

Reply:Well you have a lot of different options. As for something you can do at your home, there?s either a microdermabrasion kit/chemical peel kit or creams. You should actually use both. For the kits, I would suggest the Epidermx microdermabrasion kit. As for a cream, I would suggest Elicina Cream. Both of these products will help red marks and scarring. If you want to go to a dermatologist and pay a little more you could get a series of peels and other procedures that could help your scarring.

Reply:I used Acne Free at WM, not only did it clear up my acne but it also made my scars less visible…even making some disappear. It is certainly worth a try. Also Mederma (sp) works pretty good.

HI me some scars that seem to be having trouble scars as the skin is rough and I can peel it off, but it causes worse problems when I return. I understand that the cells and stuff like that and I read about the new Clearasil acne scar system that regenerates the cells in the scars and helps them work better. has anyone tried it! EpiDermx I use for my acne scars and its actually helping to fill the pits, and my father used it for its black head. We used to spend so much money on stuff that did not work and I thought we pass this.

MYTH: Squeezing pimples causes of acne scars

FACT: Although this may lead to deeper scars or inflammation increased, this is not the origin of the acne scar. Once “pus” has broken through the skin, the scar is formed. A little “pus” is equal to a small scar, many “pus” equals a bigger scar. It is always better to have the pus out of your system than to return it to dissolve into the skin. However, if you do not squeeze properly (and timely) you will see the infection deeper into the skin effect and this will result in an acne lesion is much greater (and probably a larger scar).

Reply:I'm glad I'm not the only popping advocate. Though I too gotta stress how important it is not to get crazy and make the skin worse. I too have noticed when there is a yellow head and I leave it alone it lingers there forever and leaves a more pronounced red mark, but if I pop it (carefully mind you!) it goes away in about 24 hours. I don't use a needle, but I can see how that would also work. My tactic is after a shower when my pores are open, to gently push the pus out with clean fingers, then drain the rest and apply a little tea tree oil or alcohol to make sure the pus doesn't stay on the skin. It takes a while to dry out after the process and usually the spot falls off in about a day.

Reply:Yes, very correct! Pop at the right time, use a sterile needle to poke a hole so the sebum can escape much easier. Once the pus looks like it has cleared out, stopped, don't go for broke, it'll only cause the sebum to be pushed further into the pore, saving the pus for more infection eventually.

Reply:I believe it ! As a test ,I had this one zit that was filled with pus on my temple and did not pick it and let it reabsorb back into the skin.The result was I now have a huge red mark the size of a nickel that won't go away. Normally when I got a zit there I would have extracted it as soon as it came to a head,apllied some BP and within a week it would have been gone without a trace.Sometimes its better to pick,and sometimes it ain't.

Reply:Guys this does work. Mind you only drain them if you see PUS. To drain them I reccommend you using a thin needle – disinfect it first by boiling it in hot water and putting it rubbing alcohol for a minute, then poke the pimple with the needle to drain the puss out. ONLY squeeze (DRAIN) them until their is an entrance out. You dont want to squeeze them to make them bigger, if its closed you only introduce more blood into the pimple for bacteria to grow in therefore making it bigger. Make sure there is drainage before your go full Sqeeze ahead (LOL). Please NOTE: Using your finger nails only adds for the wound to be bigger and you risk introducing more bacteria to the pimple.

This is my personal technique that gets rid of my pimples rather cystic acne faster and heals them smoothly. Basically it speads up the healing process. I do this to stop the scar from getting bigger.

There is a couple things you can do for scars. But there is by no means "not much" that you can do. There is always one way out there that will work for somebody. People just have success with different treatments..

my scars are not ice pick type. they are more like sausage shape. i also have some red/brown marks. I heard some sucessful stories about microderm, but not everyone responds well to it. I'm so sick of my scars. I wil give it a try.

Best Answer: Your primary healthcare professional should know where and send you to the right doc. But if he does not do it, may be there is some reason for it? May be you have some health condition and this medicine could make you some serious health problems? I think you should ask your family doctor what is the real reason for this.
