but theres alot of useful information, i just went with something else (capsiderm) and that seems to be working well. the stuff he has you do is very difficult for the average person to maintain and you have to follow it to a T!

Yes Soy is a goitrogen. There are quite a few of them, but most vegetables that are cooked are safe from problems. Vegans and Vegeterians that still have acne problems or developed acne problems upon switching to their new lifestyle may have the acne because of the excess consumption of soy (in it's unfermented state) as well as excess consumption of certain raw vegetables. These goitrogens mess with your ability to convert active thyroid hormone and thus can lead to hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism can increase your inflammatory products and lower your Sex Hormone Binding Globulin / SHBG, thus also raising your Free Testosterone levels (which can also increase inflammation and leads to acne among other androgen problems).

Some people with acne can't tolerate any grains at all. Others can tolerate select grains like 100% brown rice or whole rolled oats. Others can only handle wheat-free or gluten free grains. Others can handle consumption of sprouted grains, like spelt (low gluten). Of course most people may only need to consume 100% whole grains. So it depends on the severity of one's acne or insulin problems as to how much grains and in what state they can tolerate them. Bear in mind that if you decide to eliminate wheat or consume sprouted wheat that Seitan is a wheat product you will have to avoid.

all that liver cleansing crap etc is a buncha crap in my book don't be so gullible people

only thing that has worked (before it costs alot) was a constant small dosage of accutane

only reasons your acne appears really is oil production/ skin clogging/ hormones really

once the oil production stopped from accutane is was clear.

I bought the book but I cannot find edible bentonite clay where I live..anyone know of any substitutes???

I'm definitely no expert, however, given what I've learned from this board and Your Last Acne Solution, I would take the following as gospel: unsprouted grains, dairy/soy, sugar and hydrogenated oils are the big culprits which should be avoided. I Hope that helps somewhat?

I have the book, but, his regimen seems extremely cumbersome if followed to the letter. A great deal of useful information is provided, however.

Rule of thumb is to apply anything with an active ingredient on your skin first, i.e. this zinc thing, BP, salicylic acid, etc. Then moisturizer, makeup, or whatever.

You should try it that way and let us know.

any hows I bougt some better zinc form a herbal/health shop, I put 90 tablets that were 30mg each in 300ml of filterd water, and gave them 24 hours to desolve….

my routine now is to shower in the morning, using simple soap to wash my face and body, I then apply johnsons baby lotion to my face/neck and body and then wait till its totally absorbed.

Then I take my home made zinc solution and give it a very good shake first, I then pour a little of it in to a bottle cap and then splash/rub the solution over my face and body. The solution is a little powerdy and can dry you're skin a little bit, but if you put on a light moustriser first then it should be ok. once the solution has dryed I then put my clothes on ans thats that.

I also reapet this same routine in the evening to, It may sound like a lot of hassle but it is a pretty easy routine to get into, hopefully now I have made this solution stronger it should work better……..

hi, you splash the home made solution on you're face/neck or body, I wouldnt drink that much zinc as it would do you're body a lot of harm, I wouldnt take more than 30mg of zinc a day aurally, personally I only have one 15mg zinc tablet a day, but I splash this home made solution on 3 times perday

you get what I am trying to say now? how the solution is meant to work? basically zinc is a natural anitbiotic an will heal and kill all bacteria on you're face when put directly on to the skin….

I are recentyl squeazed with fresh orange juice on my skin with good results, I thought of using ornage juice are more than a slight lemon or lime juice . 0.

the squeezed orange juce on my skin seemed to work ok, but still odd places and makes my skin sticky, yucky bit .

anyhows decided to make my own acne solution to squeezing limes, I 100 ml lime juice in a bottle and mixed in 100 ml of filtered water in two of the milder solution .

my skin routine now – I had my face and body with Dettol soap in the shower (the Dettol soap bar with fresh Fragance moustrisers in is quite a mild soap: cool:) just before the shower I rinse / spray my face body down with cold water in the dry shower.

after knocked my self I apply lime solution on my face / neck and body (i splash a lot on my skin to make sure that kills bacteria, and get really deep into the skin type thing) I wait about 5 minutes until the juice has been absorbed into my skin, I must Johnsons baby lotion to apply on my face / neck and body. I have only a small amount of lotion as to ensure it doesnt block my pores .

So, I go on Accutane, which I know works, my sister, another relative, a friend and used it cuz they are all still clear.
The side effects are not so bad, and although it is a temporary cure, hopefully work until I grow from acne, most people do.

because of the foods you eat & the lifestyle you live, you are still exposing yourself to environmental and/or internal (dietary) toxins and just like a Car needs to have its oil changed periodically, so does your body need periodic cleansings.

That's all. It makes sense, but of course you don't have to do it that often if you don't want to or if you are following a more strict diet. Most of us implemented the dietary routines without even bothering with the supplements or the cleansing programs and have had great results. Other had better results once they implemented all 5 steps.

Everyone is different and that right there is what confuses, discourages, and makes skeptics of most people because they fail to realize that! Time may heal some peoples acne, particularly if you are still going through puberty, but if you are an adult, I doubt it. I'm not being pessimistic but realisitic because frankly, if you are still living the same way you were as a child, as a teenager, and as an adult something else will catch up to you. We don't have increasingly high obesity, diabetes, and cancer rates for nothing. Amazingly, most of which are lifestyle induced, but people aren't ready to handle that fact or don't know the "right" things to do about it.

There's also a step where you have to perform a coffee enema. He's suggesting that you should shove a syringe full of coffee and magnesium up your ***….think about that for a while.

Now I am doing a natural approach to curing acne, via diet and cleansings. So far it seems to be going well.

And i'm going to see a derm. this month. I have insurance to cover it 2. :bouncing:

Sorry, but i don't think there's a "real cure" for acne anyways, i think TIME is the only cure.

Accutane will "cure" me for a few years, until i grow out of acne.

So what does he say about hormone balancing that doesn't just involve eating healthy and flushing out your system with lemon juice? Cause I know on his website he says something like "Why do your friends who don't take care of their bodies have nice skin and you don't? Let me tell you…..", and then he proceeds to make you buy his book.

So even he knows that some people can eat like crap and not exercise and have great skin.
