Products to Clear Acne
Among the many therapeutic medicines the best way to clear acne problem is to use acne skin cleansers.
Skin Cleansers: What to Choose
There are thousands of products known as remedy to clear acne. But first you have to understand the nature of your skin and choose the right skin cleanser.
- Benzoyl Peroxide: You have to mix 2.5% of this solution to be used on your skin with a cream. Benzoyl peroxide, which is present in products such as Clearasil, works well to unclog clogged pores, causing the pimple to shrink
- Salicyclic Acid, which is also present in Clearasil and also in Stri-Dex products, often helps to clear blocked pores of your skin, forcing a free flow of body oils.
- Alpha Hydroxyl is not only dry up the blemish, but also causes the top layer of skin over the blemish to peel off, leading to faster healing. Many cleansers have alpha-hydroxy acid in them.
- Citric acid from lemon and lactic acid from milk are also a good acne remedy.
- To remove black heads, applying a product like Epsom salt could be considered. A teaspoon of Epsom salt is dissolved in some warm water, then apply it to the affected areas using cotton wool.
- Tea tree oil is a natural remedy that kills bacteria, which can cause acne. There are many products containing tea tree oil over the counter gels, oils, and creams you can buy and apply on your acne areas.
Washing
Don’t use harsh soaps or shampoos to clear acne affected areas. You need a good acne cleanser.
- Milk of Magnesia is one such product that is available on the market. It should be applied to the affected area, and left for around 10 minutes, then it should be rinsed off with warm water. This procedure removes any excess oil and also unclogs the pores of your skin, normally relieving most forms of mild acne.
- ProActive seems to be an affective acne cleanser for those who have little success in treating their acne. You should wash the affected area twice a day, but avoid harshly scrubbing, as this can irritate your skin.
- Always use a soft linen to wipe your skin.
To prevent any infections, it is very important to consider the inflammation, sensitivity and tenderness of the affected areas when treating acne at home. For this add 2 to 3 drops of Tr. of Benzion in a cup of cold water, this solution should then be applied to the affected area and rinsed off with cold water. This is a well known antibacterial solution and so this effectively prevents and cures any minor infections in the affected areas.
