Do and Don’ts in Sending Pimples Away

Want to get rid of your pimples? Then you might want to follow these steps!

DO

- Stress cause acne, so make an effort to cut down on stress any way you can.

- Never underestimate the restorative power of a good night’s sleep. It can control your hormone levels and increase the body ability to fight against pimples and diseases.

- Do various simple exercises to improve blood flow to the skin. It can also boosts the condition of your internal organs which allows them to eliminate toxins more effectively.

- Drink lots of pure, filtered water (8 glasses minimum) everyday, it will make a huge difference, and works from the inside out.

- Reduce your consumption of tea and coffee as much as possible because they do no good to your face.

- Have a healthy diet, eat fresh fruits and vegetables, go organic (pesticide-free). The more natural, the better.

- Consider taking cod liver oil or fish oil supplements every day.

- You can put two tablespoons of coconut oil in your all fruit smoothies and blend. Or, use coconut oil several times a day and at bedtime on your skin as an excellent way to re-hydrate it after using any acne commercial or natural cleanser that make your skin a bit dry.

- Use ice to reduce the swelling caused by inflamed pimples, rub it over the blemishes for 2-3 minutes.
- Try making a paste by mixing three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon together and applying the paste on your pimples at bedtime for two weeks, and wash it off each morning.

- Apply cornstarch, egg whites or milk of magnesia as a facial mask.

- Shave carefully and try both electric and safety razors to see which works best for you.
- If your skin is dry you have to be more careful in selecting the sun cream.

- Buy acne treatment products that work both: against current pimples and prevent the occurrence of new ones.

- Minimize make up usage. But if you have to use make up, choose non-acne or non-comedogenic make up

- Check your shampoo (the chemical ingredients) to make sure it isn’t causing pimples on your forehead.

DON’T

- Squeeze, pinch, pick or pop your pimples. It can cause infection and scarring.

- Overexpose your skin to the sun if you’re taking acne medications.
- Eat refined sugar, fast food, fried foods. These products will aggravate your acne and compound the problem.
- Eat too much chocolates, cakes and other sweets, they are very high in sugar and fat.
- Consume soft drinks as this is bad for acne.
- Using very hot water or very cold water to wash your face, always use lukewarm water.
- Use alcohol to get rid of your pimples.

- Let your entire make up still on your face when you go to bed.
