How long before you actually see any results .
weeks, months, etc. .

thanks in advance!

Reply:I apply the serum only to the affected areas where my scars are. As far as pimples go I use Nuetrogena on the spot Acne cream. Awesome zit zapper!!!

Reply:do you just put the regenerist serum on the post zits or current zits or your whole face?

Reply:In response to guy, I use just about 2 or 3 squirts and that seems to be plenty. This stuff goes a long way.

Reply:yep, i got it a few days ago and it seems to be working. red spots are fading fast and it helped scare some cysts away. a question for you guys. how many squirts are you using to cover your entire face? i'm getting away with 3, but any less and it doesn't feel like its getting spread out enough.

Reply:the product is from olay. it's called regenerist. i've just started using it, so no real feedback for now from me.

Reply:I have never heard of this stuff? What is it? Where do you get it? Is it ok for moderate to severe acne?

Reply:Thanks! I bought this stuff last Saturday and I swear it is totally doing it's thing! YEAH!

Reply:for me, right away! go get this stuff now!

Hey guys, I know that

Now many times, picking at pimples is a quick way to get scars, but has anyone here actually rarely or never to get their acne, and still scar? I never get, and still end up with brands! Go figure. : Bouncing: undefined

Reply:I get scars all the time, and I can only remember one or two times that I've picked at a pimple in the 3 years I've had acne. No matter what kind of pimple it is, or how big or small it is..I ALWAYS get a scar. It sucks!

i hear ya man i get red marks every time

Reply:"guy", are you talking about actual indented scars, or just red marks?

Reply:I get scars all the time, and I can only remember one or two times that I've picked at a pimple in the 3 years I've had acne. No matter what kind of pimple it is, or how big or small it is..I ALWAYS get a scar. It sucks!

Reply:Yes you can definitely still get scars without picking. Picking at your acne just increases the chance of a scar. Like the previous person said, regular whiteheads don?t usually leave scars unless you pick at them, and cysts a lot of times do leave scars no matter what. You say that you never pick, and still end up with marks. A red mark is not a scar. It is only a scar if it is indented. If its just a red mark then it will go away in time and it will come whether you pick or not, but its still better not to pick.

Reply:i never or rarly pick at my acne and i got red marks to..im putting scar removel gel on it that seems to help i guess

Reply:I dont realy get scars from Reg acne like white heads and red marks but I always get a scar from cysts. Fortunatly I only get them Ever once in a while. I never picked at them and they still left indents. Im trying everything I can to bring the redness out by using O vera on it. I probley had about 7-8 cysts in my 5 years of acne. Its sucks but just keep treating the mark and hope for the best

Wow. So yes, Im the one that began quite a long thread about the egg yolk mask while back. Guys, I tell you . the mask only works for about a month and your skin breaks out horribly. I regret that starts post because I honestly think Im the reason why so many people started to break. The mask really obvious to me for a short period of time, but if you yolk mask to try, I suggest you stop, because to break out at the end is not worth it at all. Im sorry for everyone who tried it and got bad results the way I did.

Anyways, I heard about the egg white mask and how it has helped people . but probably I will not try, simply because my experience with egg masks in the past.

I Accutane from just about a month ago and Im only ugly red scars. If you know how to get rid of these things let me know.

Alright, just wanted to clear that up. Good luck with everything guys! And do not use the egg yolk mask if you know whats good for you =)

-Erin

Reply:Erin,

I just want you to know that you're Legendary…
When i first got onto this board i read that huge thread that you started it…all of it i mean…at the time it was like 42 pages or so…took me like a day and a half . Good i got through it all…else i might have destroyed myself with that egg thing. just saying nice to finally hear from you in person…with a recent post that is.

Reply:Whatever floats your boat, dude. I was really just trying to warn anyone who was thinking about trying it or was already using it. I hope things turn out alright for you.

p.s. It wasn't just me that broke out after about a month of using the mask. It was quite a few people.

-Erin

Reply:I'm sorry but it makes absolutely no sense that you would just all of a sudden break out for no reason after a month, this could of certainly been from other things.

I am using the egg yolk mask and will continue, right now I need a short term solution to my acne and in a months time I will be 4 and a half months into my accutane and hopefully it will be strong enough to control any break out that I may get.

I think this will work for me, any comments?

Reply:I"m glad you said this…..i was going to try it. It's hard to know what to try and what not to try. Seems like everything works differently for some than it does for others.

Hey guys,

Im just curious here. Did you ever find someone with acne “attractive” despite the situation on his / her face? Do you think acne affects those functions and make them worse?

I personally met some girls, not so long ago that suffered from acne, I have to admit that they were absolutely beautiful even with all the redness around their face, they still looked good. Am I the only one who feels this way? : P

Acne Free in 1 night Gauranteed
Reply:there's a guy at work he has acne on his face worse than I ever had, but he's so cool and funny that I don't even think about his skin when I hang around him, but that's just me there are those poeple who won't give someone the time of day because of their skin. I get hit on all the time whether I got acne or not too so I don't think it makes that much difference.

Acne No More ™: Top Acne Book On Cb- *$27-$35/Sale* Up To $45/Sale!
Reply:[QUOTE=guy]What's worse, people with acne obviously can't help but think less of themselves, and this often registers visibly in the way they comport themselves, in their willingness to make eye contact during a conversation, etc.
^^this is very true. if you feel like your face looks terrible it's difficult to make eye contact esp with someone you find attractive

Quick & Easy Acne Elimination
Reply:Yes, but physical attractiveness obviously admits of degrees. That's all I'm saying – I personally am much more inclined to pursue girls with healthier complexions, hardly a revolutionary statement. Anyway, all this is neither here nor there as long as one feels as good about oneself as circumstances will allow.

Eat Away Your Acne, How To Enjoy Food & Cure Your Acne
Reply:it doesnt matter to me. if a guy is hot, hes hot, regardless. but then again, guys can be really mean aboutit. especially if their skin is really clear. i feel so ugly lately, and i just wish it would all go away. its so hard and people dont even realize it. i cant even take compliments because ppl are only saying stuff to make me feel better…which hurts even more.

Acne X Factor
Reply:Regarding this question, I'm a hypocrite who is aware of his own hypocricy. Despite the fact that I've been having bout after bout of acne over the last 2 years, I still can't bring myself to find girls with acne "Attractive"–beautiful or not. Naturally, this doesn't apply to minor skin problems–just major skin issues, umm, sort of like mine:( However, it's arguable whether I should blame myself for this manifestation of…pimplephobia, since nature programmed us to be this way–we seek out the healthiest-looking partner before mating. This is all done unconsciouslly, on an instinctual level–so you don't (usually) ask for that person's physical results and blood tests before dating them.

So, in my opinion those of you who (like myself) are unable to look past skin problems' of others aren't to blame–you simply follow your "survive and spread your genes" instincts. Those rare individuals who reportedly CAN ignore pimples are to be respected, since they've went against their natures and achieved a higher philosophical understanding of the skin. (I should become a buddhist monk in Tibet one day…aren't I good!?). On a more practical level, i've never had problems with my realtions with gorgeous girls despite my zits–perhaps it's because I only fall for smart ones who don't follow their natural instincts so easily (other than those for sex, that is) or maybe because they are blind…the latter being more likely. Perhaps the root cause of it all is that I refuse to be depressed by this illness, since I know for a fact that I'm putting out 100% of effort to get rid of them and there is no reason to be deppressed over something beyond my control. Besides, I'm self confident–zits or not, and that probably inspires confidence and allows them to ignore my small (but numerous:() faults.

disclaimer: I'm not responsible for the spelling of this post, due to the fact that I'm under the influence of various acne drugs.

Absolute Acne Info – Top Natural Acne Treatment Book!
Reply:Call me superficial, but I for one will admit that I have difficulty getting past acne when it is dispersed across much of the face. As much as I can sympathize with such people, I would be dishonest if I were to say I was attracted by them – when my skin was bad, I would hardly have expected others to think differently of me. To suggest that beauty is in the eye of the beholder is helpful only so far – I think that clear skin is pretty much a universal criterion. Also, women who have poor complexions tend (understandably) to overdo it with the cosmetics, which, for me at least, is scarcely more becoming than the alternative; I'm sure many women feel the same way about men who attempt to conceal their own problems with thick and irregular beards. What's worse, people with acne obviously can't help but think less of themselves, and this often registers visibly in the way they comport themselves, in their willingness to make eye contact during a conversation, etc. When my skin was at its worst, I would refrain even from presenting myself as an object of interest to the opposite sex – I would not dress up unless the occasion demanded it, and I would rarely take any time styling my hair. That's just how it goes with me – I suppose I'm as superficial as the next, and maybe more so.

How To Clear Acne Scars
Reply:I agree with some of the posters who said, "when you're attractive, you are, with or without acne". Although I must admit that acne does affect your personality esp. if you value physical beauty as much as our society does. In my experience, I do find attractive guys with acne. As a matter of fact, I very attracted to one right now. Despite his acne, he is confident, responsible, and very ambitious. It doesn't hurt that he has a fit body. That's all I have to say for myself.

Natural Herbal Acne Cures
Reply:good post everyone

14 Days Acne Cure
Reply:just another thread i thought i'd bring back to life for a bit…

i feel like i can find girls attractive when they have acne, especially because i know so much about it myself and can appreciate the fact that we both went out for a night even when our faces not looking so good.

the few girls i know that have acne do not have it too bad, but i can tell they try to cover it up like crazy. however one of the girls if it is just me and her i notice she doesnt wear any makeup, i kinda like that she feels comfortable around me with her face and it doesnt make her any less attractive. i guess i feel like we are bonding, hehe.

anyways, if a girl is hot, she is hot, and to me at least, acne doesnt have much of an effect. and even talking to my guys (most of whom have never had acne) about those girls being hot or not – they never bring up acne.

The Complete Guide To Eliminating Acne
Reply:I feel like my face completely looks different when I have a bad breakout. Maybe it's only me who thinks this…because when I look in the mirror I can't focus on anything but the blemishes..it's all so depressing.
My boyfriend tries to reassure me time and time again that I"m beautiful….and he sees my eyes and smile when he looks at me. However…I find it hard to believe that you can overlook the acne.
My skin has been worse lately..and I feel like I'm not the cute, happy girl I used to be. It's so hard to look at pictures from even two years ago….
I hope someday I will feel like I used to. Acne has really made my self esteem plunge.

Reply:I've never judged anyone on their face's situation, I think it's as simple as this, if you've got great features, they'll remain great no matter what happens to your skin.

malia, those guys that mock girls because of their acne probably never had any serious situations on their face, they'll never learn how it feels to be made fun of until they get it, anyway, not everyone is like that.

I think they should make an acne-dating website hehe, what do you guys think?

No i dont' think…coz then we are saying that we are a different bunch of people…which we aren't…

Reply:I've never judged anyone on their face's situation, I think it's as simple as this, if you've got great features, they'll remain great no matter what happens to your skin.

Reply:girls care more about acne?? i beg to differ. the guys i have talked to will bring it up in conversation if a girl has acne. they'll say "yeah, she has an acne face" and would make fun of her. i think GUYS care more than girls. guys can look "ruddy" with acne and scars but girls always have to have porcelain skin.

Reply:I have a major problem with anything that has to do with acne…but I know this guy that had a bad acne problem I went out with him for like 2 days becoz of expectations which is wrong but then I just couldn't…I didn't think he was attractive….especially with his acne (I know it was really mean…but he's one of my good friends now) but he has been out with gorgeous girls…like alot of gurls….and my other friend was asking me how he gets them (he would be nice looking if he didn't have acne…other people have said as well…) and turns out he has a really good personality and is a sweet boyfriend to have…but now he doesn't get his acne as bad so yeah….so for me having acne suxxx and I'm not too happy that I'm going through this coz I never used to have acne…maybe it serves me right for judding him like that….

Reply:The boy I've been deeply in love with for 3 years always had a zitty face. It has never made a difference to me… He is the sexiest guy I've ever known.

Reply:I would date a girl with acne if they were good looking and nice.

Reply:Do you think acne affects ones features and makes them worse looking?
Yep! I think I look different with acne. It's not the same cute me but with spots. My whole face appears different and just really ugly.:(

Reply:Me seeing a girl with acne is a rare case from what I've been seeing, but if I did met one it won't bother me because I know what they are going through, and to me if your beautiful your beautiful, no matter what kind of acne you have.

Reply:I am not sure why, maybe it was circumstances, but I've had the most girls after me when my acne was at its worst! Maybe cos there were more "available" girls at the time, but it's quite weird. And even this year , when I thought my acne was quite bad that was when i had a brief relationship with a girl. Quite weird. As long as your acne isn't severe, then most girls, once they get to know you will see past it. If they don't , it tells you the kind of person they are.

Maybe your so incredibly good looking that girls only feel they can approach you when you have flaws. There's a good way to look at it.

Reply:Yeah, I've come across some girls that I thought were absolutely beautiful even with acne, but I think that fact that I too have acne helped me get past the fact that they had acne. Ever find yourself being attracted to someone who kinda has the same features as you? Like, if you have a big nose, chances are you're going to find a girl with a somewhat big nose attractive. If you're super skinny, you're probably going to find a girl who's super skinny attractive, while your friends may find her too skinny. If you have acne, you will probably be attracted to girls with acne.

Unfortunately, most people don't have acne and might not really be able to look past the acne that we have.

I agree. I think acne is the first thing people see, and thats why girls never get to know who i am, because i don't get a chance, because acne is in the way. Sigh, i need to find me a girl with acne then, but thing is, guys don't care as much as girls do about acne. Most girls ive seen with acne, have boyfriends..so..grrrr.

Anyways, I have since cleared up, but even now I still redmarks left over from the breakout a few months ago. They are flat, not indented or bumpy or anything like that. I wonder how long it will take for them to leave, if they ever disappear? I know people said things like aloe very gel, but would that even work for me at this point? Its not like they are irritated or anything, its just that theyre different colors of the rest of my skin.

Cell Phone Magic!
Reply:It's never too late. You can try chemical peels or microdermabrasion. I also recently found the Alpha Hydrox 12% AHA Souffle to be pretty effective at fading stubborn red marks.

Cell Phone Recycling Profits
Reply:I kind of have the same problem
I believe if they don't fade away within 12-18 months that they are considered acne scars.
My dermatologist told me some people get acne is the same place over and over and think that it's not improving, when in actuality it's like restarting the healing process.
So if you have any trouble areas around your chin or anything like that I suggest going to a dermatologist it getting that under control first.
Tretinoin helps speed up the skin shedding process and helps the skin renew it's self.
That's the treatment I'm on. I've only been on it for 2 months and although I haven't noticed much of a difference it could be because a number of things.
As for straight up getting rid of them I believe Microdermabrasion and Chemical Peels help even them out if you get them done in a series.

I hope this was of help.
Goodluck.

Cell Phone Treasure – Make Money With Cell Phones!
Reply:Hi. I have the same problem. That is even when I think I started breaking out very badly! My derm dr. said that it can take up to a year to heal. I tried the aloe and it irrated them and made my face itchy so I started using it. I also tried pca pigment phaze 13 but it did the same thing so i had to stop using that too. My face is sooo senitive. I was thinking that I was just going to save money and get my face lasered or whatever i would have to do to get rid of them.

Hey guys,

For all of you who have had success with B5, you have to eliminate caffeine or stop eating fat, while using the supplement? The reason I ask is because a website said that the caffeine destroys B5, so it will not help your acne unless you cut out all caffeine.

Any truth in this?

Eat Away Your Acne, How To Enjoy Food & Cure Your Acne
Reply:Did you guys use Twinlab B5 or another brand?

Eating For Energy – Raw Food Diet for Weight Loss
Reply:I have the worst diet of anyone I know. I also drink pure espresso coffee pretty much on a daily basis, along with a whole slew of energy drinks throught the day. B5 works on me just fine.
However thats not to say that getting rid of those things might make B5 work better. I don't know. I just know that it's working for me, and has been working for me for well over a year now. I'm currently down to 4grams a day, and I am pretty sure I could do lower than that if I changed my diet.

Healthy Eating For Kids. 75% Payout.
Reply:well, when i started using B5 i would drink 3 energy drinks(like GoFast, Red Bull, etc.), eat super bad, like pizza, candy, pretty much nothing of value every day and my acne went away really well. I'm eating better now, but i still break out every now and then. So, caffiene didnt effect my B5 usage, but it does give me bad headaches if i take a lot at a time.

The Delicious Revolution Cookbook – Healthy Food For Busy People.
Reply:your all talking rubbish, food has nothing to do with acne.

Healthy Eating For Kids. 75% Payout.
Reply:I didn't say bananas are bad. But by researching I've found that it can aggrivate acne in some people, it's also been said that it weakens the kidneys…

Healthy Food For Dogs: Homemade Recipes.
Reply:I think its different for different people, the only thing that gives me acne is sugar, especially chocolate, I have tea and cheese loads and they don't give me spots, so as long as I don't have sugar I'm fine, so try and see!

Yummy Healthy Tummy – Kids Healthy Eating Guide
Reply:i hear drinkin fresh tomato juice helps dunno tho those seeds…

Slim & Healthy Pregnancy
Reply:Are we absolutely sure that dairy causes it for everybody?? I really don't want to give up my yogurt and cottage cheese!!!!!!!!
Anyone know any good alternatives to these foods? (i usually mix fruit in with my yogurt, and high-fiber cereal in with my cottage cheese).

Food Guide For Cats
Reply:Eat whole unprocessed foods and avoid everything else as much as possible. Dairy and sugar are the two biggest contributors to acne. I disagree that bananas are bad. They are a natural food and humans have been eating them for millions of years.

Cholesterol Foods E-Report
Reply:Yes, a better diet will definitely help you. Blueberries..lots, apples, apricots, pinapple, anything green such as broccoli, spinach, lettuce, green beans, cucumber..etc. I just take a supplement that includes a lot of green foods including chlorella. It's also good to juice veggies and fruits first thing in the morning. Raw is best. Also remember to avoid dairy, sugar, grains and starchy foods like rice, potatoes, bread, bananas, milk, cheese..etc. Or at least limit your intake like I do. You can replace dairy with other alternatives such as almond or coconut milk, raw or goat cheese. Hope this helps.
