Get Rid of Acne

Get Rid of Acne

There are many ways and means to get rid of acne. You might want to try some of the quick tips below:

- If your skin tends to swell due to acne, then try to apply ice on the affected area. Keep applying the ice for two to three days and see the difference in your acne.

- Try to use apple cider vinegar to wash your face. But you will need to check if you can stand the smell before washing your face with it.

- Try to use off the shelf topical creams like `clearasil’ and apply them on the affected area. It can open up the clogged areas and help to clear up blemishes. Do not overuse these products too often and not more than three times per day unless advised otherwise by the doctor.

- Try topical treatments of benzyl peroxide based products (example, ProActiv). These products work by drying up the excess oil that is causing your acne symptoms. They don’t cure acne, but have been shown to improve the appearance of blemishes in many people. However, the side effects are irritation, dryness and redness.

And these are the things you should do regularly, and guaranteed to work to get rid of acne:

1. Drink at least eight glasses of pure and distilled water per day which will flush out the toxins inside your body. Water is one of the best cleansers of the skin even on the inside!

2. Wash your skin with water and then apply a gentle exfoliater that can remove the dead cells and enhance your skin. Clean the skin with mild cleanser and rinse it with warm water. Glycerin soap or some herbal cleansing product could be ideal for the case.

3. Avoid all forms of sugar because this will impair your immune system and will be harder for your body to fight off infections and heal.

4. Be sure to take vitamins A, C, E, and essential fatty acids. But, even though vitamin A is important on fighting acne, you must be sure not to take too much. Vitamin E can also aid in scar prevent and will regulate vitamin A levels.

5. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables because it is high in antioxidants and will raise your immune system to remove dead skin cells that clog the oil glands.

6. Avoid fast food and other kinds of foods that just taste good and have no nutritional value, instead have a healthy diet that is balanced in all nutrients.

7. Do not touch your face, which is hard to do, however, the bacteria from your hands and fingers will get into your pores and clog it.

8. Avoid make-up and if you must use cosmetics use the natural or water-based and oil-free products. Do not use oil-based products and avoid products that contain harsh chemicals, oils and dyes.

9. Eat foods that have zinc in them which are shellfish, whole grains, soybeans, small amounts of nuts, and sunflower seeds. A diet containing low levels of zinc may promote flare-ups. Zinc is an antibacterial agent and a necessary element in the oil-producing glands of the skin.

10. Don’t squeeze the pimples which will increase inflammation and cause more breakouts and extending the infection to other healthy tissues.

Last but not least, stop believing all the false myths about acne.
