ok,
so about six months ago and before my face was cool when I had that accutane incident and really messed up my face (and a lot of you know this and have read my post), but I anyaway used milk of magnesia to use as a mask for about 20 minutes and then rinse with warm water and washcloth. I can not remember ever making me a break, but I can not remember if I washed my face with soap afterwards or if I just used water . I was wondering if anyone has used this as a mask and how you did it (because I can not remember) and if it worked. My esthetician (sp?) Told me about this a long time ago, so I did not just wish and remember exactly how I washed out . I am sorry if sometimes a bit forgetful, but my life has pretty much been destroyed due to my face and hoped that some of you might have used
thanks
Reply:ok,
thanks for the replies,
but i have one more question…i am thinking of using it in the morning after i wash my face with fresh foaming wash by neutrogena then apply MOM and leave on 10-20 minutes then take off with wet cotton pad…do i need to wash my face again to make sure it is off or should i just wipe it off and put my moiturizer on..i use tazorac at night and think that the two at night would be too much??
Reply:MoM is the best oil-absorbing mask I've ever used. I also just smear it all over my face, let it dry for about 20 minutes, then rinse off. I usually wash my face with a gentle cleanser afterwards as well. It leaves my face cool, smooth, and oil-free.
Reply:I tried the milk of magnesia mask a long time ago. I cleansed first and then put the mask on for 15-20 min, then rinsed. I remember it helped with my red marks really well and I was happy but I couldn't continue using it because my face got extremely dry and flaky, although I do have a naturally dry face anyway. If you have a normal to oily complexion then I think it would work awesome for you.
